Adding a New Well: FAQ

Did you know the average family uses 500 gallons of water a day? That cost will build up fast.
The best budget plan for your home is to have your own private water supply,  it's free! Once your well is dug, you can say goodbye to water bills for good.

What is a Drilled Well?
A drilled well consists of a borehole drilled into an underground aquifer and lined with PVC well casing. The casing prevents the collapse of the borehole walls and (with a grout seal and a watertight well cap) prevents surface or subsurface contaminants from entering the water supply.  The water from the aquifer enters the well through a slotted well screen attached to the bottom of the casing in the water bearing zone of the aquifer.

Is Well Water Reliable?

Municipal water utilities are relatively common, broken mains, boil advisories, and other unexpected emergencies. Owning a private well supply, you gain peace of mind; you know where your water comes from, right below your home.

Is Well Water Healthy?

Municipal water treats for contaminants by removing any of the naturally beneficial minerals. Well water, however, is naturally filtered and is packed with minerals and other nutrients your body needs.
